In addition to our traditional pinwheel garden in the front yard of our 129 Elm St. office, several towns throughout our county are hosting their own small pinwheel gardens.

Pinwheel pins will again be worn for Child Abuse Prevention Month, but officers at the Bennington Police Department.

Pictured above is a pin adorn on the uniform of the late Officer Dustin Lynds, of the Bennington Police Department. The pins being worn through the month of April was an idea he had on how their department could help raise awareness and show support.

Many individuals throughout our community have purchased pinwheel pins and wear them throughout the month.

Pins are on sale at Community Bank, N.A. on Northside Drive, for a minimum donation of $1.00 each.

"Pinwheels, which represent childlike whimsy and lightheartedness, and our vision for a world where all children grow up happy, healthy and prepared to succeed in supportive families and communities."
